about

"Six Primrose" is a feature-length documentary film about the power of food to build community. By tracing the lives of community members who frequent the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre, "Six Primrose" chronicles the dramatic impact that healthy food and a social network has had on the lives of this community, revealing the Food Centre's deep effect on the entire neighbourhood.

In the soundtrack, Mark aims to capture this spirit of hope and positivity that unites strong communities. He uses piano, accordion, and various mallets and wind instruments to create warm, folky minimalist textures designed to soothe and inspire.

Mark's dream is to offer you meaningful rest from your troubles, a thoughtful challenge to your assumptions, and a sense of hope that your life is in good hands. ... more
